Hi, I’m Chris, a wood artisan based in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I have been passionate about art since I was a child and started a wood burning hobby during the pandemic. My work is inspired by the history that surrounds me. I love to experiment with different styles and techniques to create unique pieces.
As my technical expertise grew, I began working with old barnwood. It’s a great way to add character and history to my pieces, and I’ve found my customers appreciate the unique quality of my work.
I acquire wood from old barns and houses, and the owners are usually very happy to see the old wood being reclaimed for other purposes rather than tossing it on a burn pile. I love the character and history that each piece of wood brings to my work: posts, railings, floorboards, baseboard, door panels, siding – the more damaged and uglier the better. The possibilities are endless!
If you’re interested, I accept commissions to focus on more personal pieces. I’ve highlighted these in the portfolio section.
Thank you for visiting my website. Even if you don’t purchase from me, I truly appreciate the time you’ve spent here; perhaps you know someone else that may be interested in my products.
I wish you well, and if you have any questions or would like to learn more about my work, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
